Join Democrats for Lee Zeldin

In 1980, Democrats from across the nation recognized that an ultra-liberal agenda would not suffice, as we began to realize the rise of Islamic extremism, an emerging threat from Tehran and skyrocketing fuel prices. Those Democrats—Reagan Democrats—recognized the right direction for the United States, willingly crossed party lines to vote their conscience, installing President Regan with a near-record mandate.

Here we are, 30 years later facing similar challenges. The more things change, the more they stay the same. Of course, this is unconscionable, coming from a party and candidate that’s preaching change as their core agenda for 2008. Ironically for the party of “change,” three decades later, the extreme left wing of the Democratic party has staged a palace coup, seeking to complete Jimmy Carter’s unfinished presidency.

One of the lead pawns of this agenda is Eastern Suffolk’s Congressman. He is ranked among the top three in Congress supporting and voting with a misguided, ultraliberal position. Who would have ever thought Suffolk County was more liberal than San Francisco? This is why now, more than ever, we need those Reagan Democrats to go back in time. We need them to search their conscience and recognize that our country and our county could both use change for the better.

We need those Democrats to become: ZELDIN DEMOCRATS.
